I find that I am searching for stuff to clean all of the time because using a pressure washer is entertaining and productive at the same time. Take a look at how clean this pressure washer got this old deck. It looks almost brand new now compared to what it use to be.

The Excell 3100 gas pressure washer is super effective because of its powerful 212cc OHV engine. I love that it offers the best in class engine size at 212cc and features 3100 PSI which is the right amount of power that you need for cleaning concrete. I find that anything less than 3000 PSI just takes too long and does not do as good of a job. Also be sure to use a surface cleaner if you are going to be cleaning the driveway. It will cut your time down in half.

The flexibility and the durability of the Excell PWZ0163100.02 is great. I would have to rate this pressure washer five stars for the specialized features, low cost, and ease of use.

Review: Generac 6602 OneWash 4-In-1 PowerDial 3,100 PSI 2.8 GPM 212cc OHV Gas Powered Residential Pressure Washer

The Generac 6602 is one of the best-selling gas pressure washers.

UPDATE: after using this for mainly household chores like cleaning the driveway and patio, I noticed that the negative wire connection clip keeps coming off due to the engine vibration. To fix it, I just tighten the clip but it can be annoying at times especially when the unit is still very hot. Also make sure that you click the hose nozzles all the way in. I did not at it shot across my entire yard after the first trigger pull. Speaking of Pulls, the unit fires up almost instantly most of the time as long as you are using the choke properly. Some times it takes 2 pulls to start but overall it has been very easy to start.

Features:

212cc OHV engine – very powerful and one of the best in class engines available. It produces 3100 PSI at 2.8 GPM which is capable of cleaning just about anything around the house. When I made the jump to a gas pressure washer I had to have something with at least 3000 PSI to work correctly with a surface cleaner. Anything with a lower PSI just took longer to clean and left streaks on the concrete driveway.
PowerDial Variable-Pressure Control – this allows you to easily adjust the pressure to clean something as hard as cement or as soft as car paint. Being able to adjust the pressure is a handy feature as you do not want to damage items while cleaning. This unit also includes 3 quick connect nozzle tips in the range of 0°, 25°, soap applicator.
30′ hose – most of the time you get a 25 foot hose or smaller. Adding the extra 5 feet is really beneficial so you do not have to keep moving the power washer around and can focus on getting those tough stains out.

Conclusion:

Overall I give the Gererac 6602 4 out of 5 stars. I removed a star mainly because of the packaging. The black and yellow wires that go to the power switch were off and I had to figure out which one goes where. These should not be getting disconnected during shipping. Generac makes some great pressure washers and the 6602 is one of the best in the under $400 price range. I love the 212cc OHV engine and it is rated as the largest and most powerful engine in its class.

Review: Simpson PS3228-S PowerShot 3200 PSI 2.8 GPM Honda GX200 Engine Gas Pressure Washer

Simpson makes some excellent pressure washers and the PS3228-S is one of those. This is one of the best-selling gas pressure washers around. Let me start out and tell you that this is probably the best gas pressure washer you can buy for the money that features at least 3100 PSI. This Simpson PS3228-S actually features 3200 PSI at 2.8 GPM. If offers one of the best motors you can buy which is the Honda GX series. These motors are very well known, desired, and reliable. I would have to say the only downfall of this unit is the Simpson brand. Some people have had bad experiences with them missing parts. Even though they may make mistakes here and there, their customer service Usually fixes the issues in a timely fashion.

Features:

The Simpson PS3228-S overall gets 4 out of 5 stars and here is why. It offers high end parts at a low cost. This pressure washer is under $500 most of the time and includes the Honda GX200 OHV engine. This engine is commercial grade, unlike the consumer grade GV Honda engines. It delivers high output that will last a lifetime. You engine will most likely outlast the pump. The Honda GX 200 OHV has an estimate run time of about 1 hour before you have to fill the tank with gas if you are holding the trigger the entire time. If you are using it intermittently, you can expect it to run around 2-4 hours before you need to fill it with gas.

Speaking of the pump though, the Simpson pressure washer comes standard with one of the best pumps you can buy and let me tell you that the pump is the most important part of any pressure washer. The Triplex pump has ceramic coated pistons and powerboost technology that provides a much better and more powerful cleaning performance than a standard pump using the same engine horsepower.

Other important features of the Simpson PS3228-S include a welded steel frame that makes this model very durable. It also includes 5 stainless steel quick connect nozzles in your standard degree options: 0, 15, 25, 40, and soap nozzle.

Pros:

Quiet – quieter than some of the other engines I have heard.
low profile – can easily fit into small places for storage like a van shelf if you are using it for business.
Lightweight – can easily lift it out from the van and move it around.
Price – great price for the features you get.
Great Engine – Honda GX200 OHV is one of the best.
Excellent Pump – AAA high quality Triplex Pump

Cons:

Simpson customer service can be difficult at times to work with

Conclusion:

Like I said I give this power washer a 4 out of 5 star ratings simply for the fact that it one of the best selling gas pressure washers for a reason. It has excellent high quality components, but I have to knock of a star because I am just not that fond of the Simpson brand. Hopefully overtime they become a better company but for the components and price, I would have to still say this is a must buy pressure washer if you are looking to do a lot around the house or even use it for business use. It will get all the jobs done that you need to complete.

The engines is covered by a 3 year warranty and the pump is covered by a 5 year warranty. This is something that is very important to a lot of people considering the price you are investing.
