Review: Karcher K 2.300 1600PSI 1.25GPM Electric Pressure Washer, Yellow

The Karcher K 2.300 is the 4th best-selling electric pressure washer. This is the cheaper version of the very popular Karcher K 3.000 that has 4 wheels.

Being that it is cheaper, it comes in the standard 2 wheel form factor that is prone to tip over. It features 1600 PSI at 1.25 GPM but still gets the job done about 50% faster than the competition due to the included Patented DirtBlaster Wand, which is a $30 value. Also included is the Vario Power Spray Wand which allows you to adjust water pressure and quickly dispense your soap and chemicals in a hurry.

1600 PSI will generate up to 30 times the pressure of a typical garden hose and is the perfect tool for keeping your vehicles clean of dirt and and grime If you are looking for something that is very light weight and does not take up a lot of storage space than this is a great model. It weighs in at just 10 lbs and is one of the lightest pressure washers I have reviewed.

Always remember to never turn on an electric pressure washer without water running to the machine otherwise you are asking the motor to do work and there is nothing there to compress which in turns damages the pump. Most people that have negatively reviewed this machine state that it breaks easy and it is most likely due to user error.

The Karcher K 2.300 is an ideal pressure washer for any garden or home but not strong enough really for the industrial use that others may need. It is very easy to use and even the younger kids could use this piece of equipment.

Conclusion:

At around $100 the Karcher K 2.3000 is still an excellent choice if you are looking for a low cost pressure washer. My favorite feature has to be the self priming, siphon capable pump that allows you to draw water from a standing or a collected water source. The best use case would be to use this to take free rain water from a water barrel. I would however recommend paying a bit more for Karcher’s tow behind K.3000 pressure washer model for the convenience and greater PSI. I love that Karcher is a great brand and they make excellent pressure washers so no matter what you can’t go wrong with this model unless you specifically need more than 1600 PSI to get your job done.

The Karcher K 3.000 is the 3rd best-selling electric pressure washer and what really sells this unit is that it follows you. It is an 1800 PSI pressure washer that spits out 1.3 GPM. It has 4 wheels so you can just pull it and it follows you. The problem with electric pressure washers is that they tip over when you yank them and then they end up breaking. The Karcher K 3.000 fixes all of those issues and is built to last.

I think this unit is one of the best electric pressure washers for washing cars. You don’t have to worry about it falling over and breaking as you can just pull it around your entire car or truck and it simply follows you. To my knowledge this is the only 4 wheel power washer out in the market.

1800 PSI is a great amount of pressure for an electric washer and comes in at a price under $200 which is great for any home owner.

One nice feature that I like is that it comes with a FREE $30 DirtBlaster Spray Wand Boosts Cleaning Power by up to 80%. Another amazing feature is that the pump can suck water as well. Say you are at the lake and want to clean your boat, just drop the hose into the lake, plug in the unit and off you go. You could also use it to suck out water of a pool, hot tube, or even get super environmentally friendly and suck it out of a rain barrel.

Conclusion:

This is my favorite pressure washer if you are looking for something that you need to easily move around; especially if you are using it to mainly wash your car. Karcher is a very well known and popular brand so you know you are getting a quality piece of equipment.

The ability to turn this into a super environmentally friendly machine is excellent. Using it to suck water out of a rain barrel to clean is great and with the 4 wheels, you don’t have to worry about it tipping over and breaking. Since is is made out of all plastic you know it can easily take a beating. I really don’t see any downfalls to this unit other than it could use a little bit better cord management, but you may want to check out what others who have purchased this unit have to say here

Review: AR Blue Clean AR383 1,900 PSI 1.5 GPM 14 Amp Electric Pressure Washer with Hose Reel

AR North America is a well know brand in the pressure washer category. Their motto is “First Choice When Quality Matters,” and I would have to agree with that. Even though most of their pressure washers I have reviewed are lower cost models, they do feature excellent build quality and I feel like you get more value for your money. They have been in business for over 50 years and assemble both residential and Industrial machines.

The AR Blue Clean AR383 is an electric pressure washer that features 1900 PSI at 1.5GPM. Since this is AR North America we are talking about you get one of the best pumps around being an Annovi Reverberi Triplex 3 axial-piston pump. Like I say in all of my reviews, the pump is the most important thing of any pressure washer. Since this unit is only using 1.5 gallons of water per minute, you are saving about 80% water verses your standard garden hose.

The full unit is made out of 3 components: Copper, Plastic, and Aluminum which presents a rugged design with excellent build quality. Here is my take on the overall unit:

Pros

Very lightweight – easy to move around. I believe it weighs only 27lbs.
good power for an electric washer. You can easily clean your car, driveway, deck, and more.
low GPM helps save you water

Cons

The plastic hose adapter can leak at times. I found that if you go and get a solid brass male to male hose adapter you can fix the problem completely. Most of the negative reviews are due to this problem. Plastics never seem to hold up with water so it is best to use brass when possible. If AR North America was to switch this part out they would have to raise their price. Luckily if you do have a leaky one you are covered under a 1 year warranty and they will replace it for you.
This is an UPDATE to the leaky adapter. They now include a new leak-free part in the box. Great Customer service, so all of the negative reviews that you see should be fixed with the new included part. If you purchase one that doesn’t have this part just call them up and they will send you the new leak-free part.

Conclusion

If you are looking for an electric pressure washer I would highly recommend this or the Sun Joe SPX3000. They are both a great value and have thousands of happy customers based on all reviews. Now that the AR Blue Clean 383 comes with the new part to fix the leaky hose adapter I would have to give it 5 out of 5 stars so check it out.

What Makes Sun Joe Pressure Washers a Great Machine to Have?

The thing I appreciate about any new toy is how fast I can set it up and play with it. It is probably the best part of getting any new item. Sun Joe SPX3000 is designed such that it is basically ready to go right out of the box. It is very easy. All you need is a Phillips head screwdriver and screw in 6 screws to connect the handle. It basically slides into place and then you attach it with 4 screws. The other 2 screws are used to attach the spray want protector and attach the high pressure hose holder. All of this should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Very Simple! Just follow the included instructions if you need help.

The Sun Joe / Snow Joe brands are not really well known like Karcher but this machine is still the number 1 best selling electric pressure washer on Amazon.com

The construction of this machine consists of very durable plastic. It is also quiet, ensuring that the neighbors have nothing to complain about.

In terms of usage, this is the perfect pressure washer to get for a first timer. If you are planning on getting Dad or someone else a gift, this is a great option and something he will truly enjoy. It is so easy to use that even a young toddler could use it. (I do not recommend that though. Always be sure to follow safety precautions and never point a pressure washer at anyone. I tread a pressure washer the same way I would with a firearm.)

What Do You Get from Your Sun Joe Pressure Washer?

The product comes with a Powerful 14.5 Amp 1800 Watt Motor. Which is enough power to do almost any light duty job without having to invest into a gas pressure washer that will be more expensive and harder to maintain. It features 2030 PSI at 1.76 GPM. The machine is in the under $200 category which makes it very enticing to buyers. You also receive 2 detergents tanks that let you switch between 2 different types of detergent at once. This is very useful if you need soap and a degreaser, you no longer have to clean a tank and switch to the other liquid. Now you just flip a switch. Very handy! Another notable feature included is the TSS (Total Stop System) trigger that automatically shuts off the pump when the trigger is not engaged.

This pressure washer is ideal for the average homeowner who wants to do basic cleaning outside of their house, including washing cars, decks, houses, driveways and more.

Conclusion

The Sun Joe SPX 3000 is by far the best electric pressure washer for the money out there and the best-selling power washer product you can find online. This pressure washer is available at Amazon.
